Awarding the GotSport Ranking Champions of 2025
GotSport is proud to continue the tradition of recognizing the top youth teams in the nation as the 2025 RIA Champions! The GotSport RIA Awards honor the legacy of Ria Owen Thomas, a pioneering force behind youth soccer rankings who developed the very first national ranking system in the United States back in 1999.
Each year, the RIA Awards celebrate the Ranking Champions. The teams that finish at the top of the national leaderboard over the full calendar year. Winners are named across all age groups from U10–U19, for both boys and girls divisions.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the highest-ranked teams in the country, based on 12 months of results from 2025, powered by GotSport Ranking data from thousands of leagues and competitions nationwide, all calculated through GotSport.

Las Vegas Sports Academy’s 2016 team entered the rankings this season with a bang! Finalists at the Las Vegas Labour Day Classic, they went on to win the Las Vegas Invitational Fall Cup, Viva Soccer’s Torneo De La Amistad, the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic, Temecula Holiday Classic and the Las Vegas Champions Cup – all whilst playing up an age group! They’ve challenged themselves and had an exceptional start to the 25-26 season, making over 22000 points in 2025. They finish the year at the top of the national rankings and our Boys U10 RIA Champions!

GIRLS 2016 PRE-ECNL
Mustang Soccer’s 2016 girls team entered the rankings in 2025 and a string of tournament wins have taken them straight to the top. Finishing first in their Nor Cal Premier Fall League, this amazing young team were also champions at the Junction City Gold Cup, the Davis Legacy Super Clasico and Livermore Fusions Ghouls and Goals tournament! A finalist at the US Club State Cup in November, they’ve made over 20000 points as a newly ranked team in 2025. Number 1 in the nation with an incredible 88% win rate, they are now the new Girls U10 RIA Champions!

BOYS 2015 PRE-MLS
Founded by former professional players Blaise Matuidi, Kieran Gibbs and Sylvain Marveaux – Miami’s One FC has produced the best under 11 boys team in the country in their 2015 Pre-MLS team. Placing at every competition they took part in last year, the 2015 boys won the 2025 United Soccer Cup, the Legends Cup, Alliance Cup and the Miami Classic, among others in what was an incredible year. Amassing an astonishing 34000 points in 2025, they are now the Boys U11 RIA Champions!

Philadelphia Ukrainian National’s 2015 Girls Black team had an incredible 2025, competing regularly and placing in every competition they played in the entire year! With a win rate of 79%, this is one of the highest of any RIA winning girls team this year and shows the amazing levels they performed at over the last 12 months. The Pennsylvanian team were champions at the Penn Fusion Classic, Battle at Hilltop, the 39th Annual Kick Off Classic and Keystone Cup to name a few. A remarkable year saw them make over 26000 points and claim first spot in the nation – they are now the U11 Girls RIA Champions!

A phenomenal year for Phoenix United’s 2014 Elite Boys team saw them place at 10 events in 2025. Winning the Phoenix Cup, Tuzo’s Challenge, Rivalries Cup and Las Vegas Mayors Cup International among others. The boys made an amazing 34491 points last year, more than any other team in the entire rankings! This incredible points total put them firmly at the top of the rankings nationally and they are now the Boys U12 RIA Champions!

POTOMAC PREMIER 1 2014 GIRLS
Maryland’s Potomac Premier 1 U12 Girls had a fantastic 2025, consistently placing and winning through-out the year. Champions at the Arlington Spring Girls tournament in March and the Virginian Elite Soccer tournament in May – they were then Maryland State Cup finalists in the summer, before going on to win the 39th Annual Kick-Off Classic and finishing first in their EDP Fall League. Amassing nearly 22000 ranking points in 2025, they finished top of the national rankings and become the new Girls U12 RIA Champions!

ACADEMIA METODO COIRA 2013 ELITE
Miami Athletic Club continue to produce RIA winning teams – and this year it’s the Academia Metodo Coira Boys 2013 Elite team at the top of the national rankings.
They started the year with a bang, winning the Weston Cup and Showcase in February, then going on to win the United Soccer Cup, Tampa Bay Super Cup and place first in their EDP Florida League. A fantastic year saw the boys continually placing and winning at events on their way to making 26639 ranking points in a fiercely competitive age group – they now become the Boys U13 RIA Champions as well!

The Football Academy New Jersey continues their astonishing run of producing top quality youth teams, having had multiple RIA winning sides in the past. This year it’s the Girls 2013 Black team finishing the year number 1 in the nation, having placed at nearly every event they competed in over the last 12 months. Champions at the ISE Fall Kick Off, the Roxbury Kick-Off Classic and finishing first in their Mid-Atlantic Fall National League, they consistently challenged for everything they played in. A string of placements and wins over the year, saw them make over 20000 points and take first spot in a very competitive age group. The highest ranked team in 2025, they now become the Girls U13 RIA Champions!

The Maraki Street 2012 Elite team stormed into 2025, winning the Doral Cup in March and both the Florida College Showcase and South Florida Super Cup in April. They didn’t stop there as they went on to top their Florida EDP League and win the Alliance Cup in November. Number 1 in the national rankings with over 31000 points for 2025, Milan of Miami’s Meraki Street 2012 Elite Boys now become the Boys U14 RIA Champions!

A busy year saw Baltimore Bays 2012 Crush Premier Girls competing and winning in several tournaments through-out 2025. Champions at the Baltimore Mania in spring, they went on to become Maryland State Cup champions and finish first in their South Atlantic Fall National League. Placing at many events and further wins at the WAGS Rael Vodicka and Bethesda Premier Cup, saw them amass over 25000 rankings points and finish the year ranked number 1 in the nation. With a fantastic win rate of 75% over the last 12 months, they are now crowned as the Girls U14 RIA Champions!

Weston Selects 2011 Boy’s Gold team maintained a fantastic standard in 2025, in what was another fiercely competitive age group. Finalists in January at the 18th Wellington Soccer Shoot-out, they went on to win the United Soccer Cup in March and become Florida State Cup champions in May. Placing first in their EDP League, they then won the South Florida Super Cup in September, ending the year on just over 27000 points to become the new Boys U15 RIA Champions!

New Jersey Premier FC’s Girls 2011 Aspire team could not stop winning last year and racked up several notable achievements. Champions early in the year at the DTS Winter Invitational, they went on to win the National Academy League Championships and become the Eastern Regional champions! Always in contention at tournaments, their consistency saw them finish the year winning the GA Winter Showcase and topping the rankings nationally. After a fantastic 2025, they now also become the Girls U15 RIA Champions!

Florida’s Key Biscayne Soccer Club continues to produce teams of the highest quality and they have another RIA winning team in 2025. Their Boys 2014 Premier Blue team won last year at U11 – and this year it’s the older 2010 academy team topping the charts after a fantastic 2025. The 2010 Academy Boys won nearly everything they competed in over the last 12 months, including becoming Southern Regional Champions in the summer. They finished 2025 winning the Miami Classic in December and amassed over 28000 points for the year. Number 1 in the national rankings, they are now the Boys U16 RIA Champions!

Last year saw the 1776 United 2010 Girls Elite team competing less than others in the rankings, but when they did – they showed why their ranked number 1 nationally. Pennsylvanian (East) State Cup champions in May, they went on to blow away the competition and become Eastern Regional champions too! The club will be very proud of these girls, as they mark the start of 2026 with their first ever RIA award. Making over 22000 with wins at top level competitions last year, they are now the Girls U16 RIA Champions!

Finishing the year winning the Alliance Cup in November, they had made over 24000 points in what was an incredible 2025. Ranked number 1 in the nation, they are now the new Boys U17 RIA Champions!

2009 GIRLS NL ELITE (PRE-COLLEGIATE)
Athena FC’s 2009 Girls Elite team rose to the top in 2025, thanks to a string of top tournament wins. Consistently winning or placing over the last 12 months, the New Jersey girls became champions at the Philadelphia Spring Showcase in March and finished first in their Mid-Atlantic National League in the summer. Placing at the NJ State Cup and the Eastern Regionals, they also went on to win the EDP Spring Showcase and the FC Delco Fall Showcase. Making over 21000 points in 12 months, they finished the year ranked number 1 in the nation and are now crowned the new Girls U17 RIA Champions!

Miami Breakers continues to produce top quality teams and once again have one of the best youth sides in the nation. Winning the U16 RIA Awards last year with their 2009 Elite 64 team, this year it was the 2008 Elite NL Boys that rose to the top of the rankings. A fantastic 2025 saw them reach the Florida State Cup final and the final of the Southern Regionals, where they only narrowly missed out after penalty kicks. Excellent results over the last 12 months have earned them the points to get to the top of the national rankings and now makes them the new Boys U18 RIA Champions!

Pennsylvania’s North Union United SC topped the rankings in 2025 in a closely fought age group. The clubs 2008 Valor team had an amazing 2025, placing first in both their spring Mid-Atlantic National and EDP Late Fall Mini Leagues. They continued the year by winning the Steel Sports Showcase at Bloomsburg University and the PAC Winter College Showcase, whilst only narrowly missing out on the Eastern Regional Championships in a closely fought final. Ending the year on 19295 points, they are ranked number 1 in the nation and now become our U18 Girls RIA Champions!

There was no stopping New York’s Hota Bavarian U19 Boys this year. Consistently placing and winning at big events; January saw them champions at the Best of the East, before becoming NYE State Cup champions in June and Eastern Regional champions in July! They also placed as semi-finalists in the National Championships and finished the year winning the PDA Thanksgiving Invitational. The team ended 2025 with over 21000 points and ranked number 1 in the nation – they now become the new Boys U19 RIA Champions!

There’s no doubting who would top the U19 Girl’s Rankings in 2025 – State Cup champions, Eastern Regional champions and National champions – the PA Classics 2007 Girls NAL team won everything last year! Rounding off 2025 winning the PAC Winter College Showcase in December, there was no better team over the last 12 months as they amassed more than 24000 rankings points. Number 1 in the country, they now have another trophy to add to the club cabinet as they are this year’s U19 Girls RIA Champions!

Formed in 2023 to celebrate 25 years of the GotSport Rankings; the awards honor mathematician and key creator, Ria Owen-Thomas and her enduring contribution to youth soccer in America.
Now with over 100,000 teams making up the GotSport Rankings, its remains the largest and most accurate database of youth soccer teams in the country.
Finishing the year as the top ranked team nationally is incredibly difficult, and requires 12 months of fantastic play and results – making it one of the hardest youth team awards to win in the world!
Last year saw National, Regional and State Cup winning teams from Florida, California, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Massachusetts, becoming rankings champions for 2024 – all receiving the prestigious RIA Champions Trophy, along with the squads winning T-Shirts and prizes.
