Exciting Update for Assignors and Referees: New Mileage Feature in GotSport
Greetings, Assignors and Referees!
GotSport is thrilled to announce a new feature designed to make the assigning process more efficient and user-friendly for everyone involved. With our new Mileage capability, referees now can set a mileage limit from their home address, simplifying how assignments are managed based on location. This update brings several enhancements that will streamline the assignment process:
Key Features of the Mileage Update:
- Home Address Limitation: Referees can now set a mileage limit from their home address in their GotSport account. This feature will restrict the assignments to venues and fields within the specified mileage radius.
- Filtered Referee List: When assigning matches, the Match Chart drop-down will now only show referees who are available based on their set mileage limit. Assignors will be able to easily view which referees are eligible for specific venues or fields.
- Mileage Identifier for Out-of-Range Referees: If a referee is located outside of their designated mileage radius, their name will be greyed out in the Match Chart drop-down list. Additionally, a “mileage” identifier will highlight that the venues/fields fall outside of the established mileage range.
What This Means for Referees and Assignors:
This feature is designed to help everyone—whether you’re a referee managing your own availability or an assignor looking for the best matches for your crew. We believe this will make the assigning process easier, faster, and more accurate.
For Referees:
- Referees can take control of their assignments by ensuring they’re only considered for matches within a desired distance.
- If you don’t set a mileage limit, you’ll default to the “No Mileage Limit” setting, which allows you to be assigned to any venue or field associated with the event.
For Assignors:
- This update will save you time by automatically narrowing down your list of available referees based on their location, ensuring you’re only assigning those who can reasonably make it to the venue.
