Faster Checkouts: Type Your Quantity Instead of Scrolling
We’ve made ordering add-ons, patches, and other bulk features quicker for everyone — no more scrolling through long dropdown lists to find the number you need.
No more scrolling
Some features — like jersey patch orders — support amounts that can range from a handful to several thousand. Selecting from a dropdown made sense for small ranges, but it slowed things down for larger orders.
Type it in
Now, quantity fields can be set up as a simple typed number field instead, so you can just enter the exact amount you need and move on. The price still calculates automatically and instantly, just like before — just faster, with fewer clicks between you and checkout.
Set a minimum quantity, too
Admins setting up a feature can now also define a Minimum Quantity, in addition to the existing maximum. This makes it easy to require a baseline order size — useful for things like bulk patch orders — while still giving flexibility on the upper end.
How it works (Feature Setup):
- When creating or editing a feature, choose whether the quantity field should be a Dropdown or a Text Input.
- If using Text Input, set your Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity as needed.
- Save your changes — the price will continue to auto-calculate based on the quantity entered.
How it works (for end users placing an order):
- On the order or registration form, look for the quantity field next to the feature.
- If it’s set up as a typed field, simply enter the number you’d like instead of selecting from a list.
- The total price updates automatically based on your entry.
Why we made this change
Whether you’re ordering a few items or a few thousand, entering a number should be quick and straightforward. This update cuts out the friction of scrolling through long dropdown lists, so admins and participants alike can get through checkout faster — while still giving admins more control over order size requirements.
